Remove unnecessary Thunderbird email window

Microsoft Windows 7 home premium

Specs: Windows 7, 4gp
In Thunderbird email there is a window that has "subject" with the emails listed. Just below there is another window that has "from-subject-to". And below that is the window where you read your emails.
My question: Is there a way to remove the window that has "from-subject-to"? It takes a lot of space and I find it unnecessary for my use.

The 'subject' column, etc is where you view what emails are available in your inbox. The preview window below it is generally for quick viewing of emails for you to decide if you want to fully open it or delete it not fully read. If you want to use this window for easier reading and want to open it further, just hover your mouse on the bar between the windows until you get a double ended arrow, click on it and drag the bar upward. A warning here, if you raise it too high, you will not be able to see what is in your inbox.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
If all else fails, read instructions.

I think you are mistaken as to what I am referring to. The items is not at the top of the screen but in the email it self. Read the post carefully.

It reads the same the second time. I may be mistaken, but reread the answer since you may also be mistaken.

I will try to post a picture since you have a problem reading and understanding. Please bear with me until I try this.
