I am thinking that who ever is answering this may not know exactly what a palm rest is....the reply has nothing to do with the remove the face of the laptop (Palm Rest). Oh well I am still working on it.

If you didn't like riider's post, I wonder who marked it as "Best Answer"and thus changing this thread's status to "Solved"? (Genuine question)

I can't exactly tell from the tutorial he provided since the page fails to load and Google doesn't have it fully cached, but I believe the palm rest is being removed between steps 11-13.

The palm rest is properly named for its function. It also holds the trackpad, mouse buttons, and typically plugs into the motherboard underneath the keyboard, which was removed in steps 6-12 of that tutorial.

Apologies if I don't respond to your reply immediately. I don't check this site daily, but you're welcome to PM me as a reminder.
