reloading Win 7 & software on a mini notebook

Specs: win7, 2.6p4/3.5gig ram
if u want to wipe and reformat a mini notebook like u do a regular hard drive,,given the fact that it only has a usb port on it..when a netbook boots up to the bios without an os installed,,will it see something attached to the usb port and read it if u have an os installed onto it. or whats the magic way to fix these things like reinstalling os or wipeing it with another program etc..tks

i would expect your notebook to have a hidden partition which you can use to restore the machine to the original condition.

but you can also set the boot priority in the bios to boot from usb and install from usb.

We'd be of more help if you'd tell us the manufacturer and exact model number of your notebook.

There is no universal recovery procedure that covers all manufacturers or models.

I agree. The company that makes that device should have detailed instructions. You may need to make disks before you go too far or some other important step. Read the owners manual or contact the companies help desk.
