Specs: Windows 7
I think this is part of another programme I am having trouble running.
When I click on this programme a window pops up that reads "Object reference not set to an instance of an object. frmMain.Load DevExpress.XtraBars.v12.2" Then closes wtithout opening the programme. If I change from Administrator back to guest I can open the programme. This all happened after updates several months back.

Dev Express? never heard of it. Seems to be some kind of software- programming/app-development kit.
Someone here with a related problem, though not sure it helps:

I don't know with what other programme it might be associated with - you don't give a lot of info.
Maybe if you uninstalled, then reinstalled?

Programme is "C:\Program Files (x86)\CHH Woodproducts\designIT\designIT5.exe"
I have uninstalled and reinstalled this programme several times, even updated it. But it just does not want to open under administrator but will run if lgged on as guest. Even tried system restore, sfc scan now in command prompt. Spoke to the compang supplying the programme they said it might have something to do with my screen saver ??? At the time I was also doing Windows updates.

Is this it?
http://www.chhwoodproducts.com.au/i...

I see that devexpress constitutes part of the software.

Seems strange... Was it initially installed under, 'Guest user'?

Out of curiosity Try right-clicking the desktop shortcut and, Run as Administrator.

Which account were you in when you installed it for the first time?
Were you asked if you wanted the program for the current user only or for any user of the machine? If yes, what did you answer?
If it still gives you trouble, try uninstalling it again, then search out any folders under the name(s) the program uses and delete them. Then try reinstalling under Admin account.

You should use Admin account for service and maintenance only and make a new account for yourself for daily use. Then save the Guest account for anyone else or delete it. This is the safest way to use your machine.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

If you mean a non-admin account when you refer to a standard account... (and it's not a guest account in any form) then you have to create one - giving it a slightly different user- name to "your" admin account.
