Red x with white box

Specs: Windows 64
Red x with a white box inside a web page form field where text is typed, I'm using IE 7 Windows 7 - I've tried to install Chado SpellText, resetting my IE, disabling addons and ensuring that "show pictures" is checked in IE tools.

try resetting IE to see if that solves the problem

I would suggest you attempt a " restore point". See help and support in W7 to see how to do that.

Thank you this is resolved now.

I accidentally got the evaluation version. I had the Chado Software retail version elsewhere, but I was using the eval version. You can tell the difference by looking at the OCX file, checking properties/file version. You'll see a four digit number. If the last digit is 0, it's eval. If it's 1, it's retail.

I Search my hard drive for ChadoSpellText.ocx and deleted multiple copies. Then I reinstalled the software and now it works. No more red x in a white box.
