Recover Windows 7 from messed up partitions

Hewlett-packard / Hp pavilion dv7 notebook...

Specs: Windows 7 Home Premium x64, Intel Core i7-720QM / 6144 MB
I made a new simple volume but didn't name it or format it, and set it as active. Windows said I was risking not being able to boot, but I did it anyways.

Well the disc I was going to boot ended up being bad, so now I have a 500gb hard drive with all my stuff on it and no way to access the files.

Long story short, I screwed up and I'd like to boot Windows again. No recovery partition/discs. If you can help, thanks!
