i have a dell inspiron duo and when i turn it on it says no bootable device -- please restart system

Enter the BIOS and check, whether the hard drive is recognized correctly.
If this is ok, what happens right before you got this issue?

Is it a new hard drive?

Do you know how to remove the hard drive?

If so & it has an operating system on it, remove it & then put it back in.
