RDP to Windows 7 screensaver issue

May 15, 2010 at 15:41:09
Specs: Windows 7, P4
How come when I RDP to my desktop PC which is running Windows 7 Ultimate, after I disconnect, the screen saver I had active no longer goes on. It will go on if I log on locally and lock the Workstation again.

Enable Windows 7 to accept Remote Desktop Connection

1. Go to Control Panel>System>Advanced System Settings

2. Go to Remote tab.

3. Under Remote Assistance, put a check mark on Allow Remote Assistance connections to this computer
Note: This automatically adds Remote Desktop exception in Windows Firewall.

4. Click on Advanced...

5. Put a check mark on Allow this computer to be controlled remotely.

6. Click on OK.
Note: This automatically adds Remote Assistance exception in Windows Firewall.

I already have that selected. I am able to connect to my desktop via RDP. My question is when after I disconnect from the computer, the remote computer will no longer use the screen saver I had configured on this computer previously. If I log on locally to the computer, then the screen saver will be active again.
