Q re: Athlon II Dual Core vs i3

Specs: Windows 7 Professional, 4 GB DDR3
General sales/business use, plan to A. store & run ACT, B. access Insurance company (Hartford, Travelers, Zurich etc.) quoting sites and C. use PC Anywhere to access and use TAM management program, Outlook and read emails & communicate remotely.
Will Athlon II Dual Core P340, 2.20 Ghz 1MB L2 Cache work similarly to the Intel i3?
In the future, what advantages does Athlon II have over i3 and vice versa?

wait a couple of months, then jump in and go for the sandy bridge, they out perform everything on the market, use less power, have built in graphic support and will be available very soon, or and did i forget the pricing should be extremly good compared to the 45nm chips of today.
other tham there is not much difference for most users with either manufacturer, chips are so good now, the difference is negligable.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

You basically get what you pay for. You can look to some of the web sites for value for the dollar but it almost mirrors price.
