problem with sata 2 drive

Specs: Windows 7
i have a asrock motherboard p4i945gc i connect a sata2 drive onto the sata1 port and install win7 onto it and ever thing is fine but when i shut down the system and swich it back on the system wont boot up from the sata drive and it isnt reconnize by the bios can you help with this problem.

Possibly a flat CMOS battery. It's a little round silver battery (like a watch battery) that clips on to the motherboard. Replace it with a new one.

Are you connecting the drive to the RED SATA II connector?

It is a new motherboard and a new battery have not fix problem yet.Any more idears.

So, lets recap. Are you still having the same hard drive issue with all the same hardware?

Did you verify the boot drive is installed to the RED SATA connector?

Do you have more than one internal or external hard drive?

Next time this happens boot into the BIOS and verify all the settings are just like they were the last time you reset them. If the date changes then you have an issue with the CMOS battery. Either it is no good or you may have it installed upside down.

Post the settings you are using for the drives. Do you have any IDE drives installed?

The battery fine and the date is also fine the motherboard bran new it is a asrock p4i945gc I have gone into the bios on bootup and the sata 2 hdd is not reconnize.If I disconnect the hdd and install it the next day the bios reconnize it then it will bootup again and all works if I shut the computer down and leave the hdd in it and leave for a day the bios don't reconnize the system and it wont bootup again.

Please answer ALL questions. Do you have more than ONE hard drive?

When you install the hard drive again, do you need to reset the boot order?
