problem with administrator account

Acer Aspire as5750-6421 notebook

Specs: Windows Vista
I was following some websites about creating new accounts and limiting options for them. I set it true that your account will be locked out for 30 min if you don't log in successfully in 3 attempts. My only administrator account is now locked out. All I am able to do is login under Guest. There are not other accounts except my administrator account(which isn't displayed when I go into Control Panel->Users) I was trying to create a Reset Password disk, but it won't let me make one for my administrator account. Help! It's been 2 hours and I can't log in and I can't change anything since all I can do is log in as Guest.

if you cant get into your machine as admin, your screwed, guest is pretty useles.
however you should be able to save all your files and then do a factory restore. tap Alt+F10 at startup and follow the recovery process, it will delete all your C: drive and reinstall your system to the day you bought your machine.

make sure to save all your files first though..just in case.
If you used a win 7 dvd to install, you could insert the dvd and then do an UPGRADE (not a clean install), this should save all your files and folders and allow you to create an admin account and password, then copy all your files and folder into the new account.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

Have you tried booting into Windows Safe mode by tapping F8 at start up?

Are you sure that shutting it down for the night and starting it up fresh in the morning will not allow you 3 more tries to log in???? It might be time sensitive.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
