Problem to dial PC modem

Specs: Windows 7
Hello
I have to make a connection with pcAnywhere 12.1.0 to a modem using telephone line.
The problem is that the Host telephone number passes through an factory telephone station so I have also to dial the extension number.
When I dial I have to dial all the number including the extension but when the dialing reaches the factory telephone station it stops dialing the extension and waits for the call and in that case it is the operator and next the modem connection breaks. I was explained from the factory that if somehow I put some delay between factory number and extension let say for 3seconds the connection will be possible because the operator answer will be eliminated.
My question is if it is possible to put some signs in telephone number of the dialed modem with the meaning that these signs to mean delay for it?

If this isn't enough info, go to Google and type in -
