Solved Problem installing Win 7 on win 8 Toshiba Satellite laptop

Hewlett-packard Compaq evo d530 desktop

Specs: windows 8, amd e1
I have recently purchased a windows 8 toshiba satelitte laptop. I can't get to grips with windows 8 but i would still like it on my system. So i figured i could dual boot with windows 7. I disabled secure boot, turned fast boot off, changed a setting from uefi to Csm. I put my disk in, it fired up as normal, but when i have to choose a partition to install windows 7 to, it says it can't install to a gpt partition. Also i have been told installing via usb woorks but when i use "rufus" it says my iso is not compatible and i have to choose a efi iso instead, any help would be greatly appreciated

what is the model of the laptop. usually the manufacturer will provide instructions on how to downgrade from windows 8 to windows 7.

my recommendation is to contact them first to see if it is do able. if not, you can use UBCD and wipe the hard drive and then install Win 7.

--update--
backup any files, photos, videos, etc. before wiping the hard drive.

No reason to dual boot anymore. Run the other OS's you desire as virtuals.

I really want to keep 8 and have a fully running windows 7 beside iitand I dont want to use VMs. I get to windows installation screen but it says that windows can't install to gpt style partition. On Microsoft site it states that u can use win 7 64. Its a toshiba satellite c55d 11l. I think it may have something to do with my laptop is uefi boot able. I don't know wwhat that means lol. Thanks
