pls sir/madam help with Windows 7

Specs: Windows 7
i had windows xp3 but recently i got windows 7.i dont knw to format harddisk properly.i installd somehw but the primary partition has the old files still.i want to install fresh os removing everything.pls help me soon.

It's so simple to install win 7. First make sure to check for win 7 or win vista drivers from manufacture website. Make sure to have graphic card or igp that capable of running win aero full. Ram 1gb or more required (for 4gb or more u need 64bit). The reason the old file still left is bcause u didn't format the partition. Before win 7 starting installation there's window which shows all hdd partitions, u need to select the drive by clicking on it and look for "format" option at the bottom.

But u said u want to install fresh os. When u format the primary partition u need to install os. It's so simple, after formart the primary partion then select primary partition by clickin on it the click install.

SIr,Thanks for ur kind reply.i have not ever done formattg bfore.thats y am nt clear.actually i had windowsxp3 n i installd windows 7 in my c:\drive,which is my primary partition.pls give me steps to do the format clearly, that is ,I want to delete all the partitions.i have 298.08gb harddisk n 2 gb ram.bfore i was havg 3 partition.Nw want to erase everthing as like fresh s/m i want to format,install and make partition.pls help me.ur reply was helpful to me so much.THANKS.WANT UR REPLY SOON

make sure u read the article and understand it (believe me it's so simple)

if u delete partition your data will be lost, make sure u back up all your data.

If you still do not understand, maybe you should consider taking it into a computer shop and having a pro do it for you. Ask around locally for recommendations.
