Have you looked in Programs & Features? Uninstall it from there if it's there. If not do a registry search for it & delete the value.

Get "Revo Uninstaller" there is a free version. Google for it! Guaranteed to remove it.

Malwarebytes is able to eradicate "myweb....", may be best to run in safe mode.

help! I got revouninstaller but I cannot find mywebsearch or anything associated with it in the programs and features section. I am worried that I might click on something that I think is mywebsearch and uninstall it and hurt my computer. How do I get rid of this thing STEP by STEP

Use the link shown in post #3 and run MBAM. Its not a virus but is considered undesireable software for the reason you are running into now and why Malwarebytes detects and removes it as a virus. This software does use rootkit technology to hide itself within your system. You will not be able to fully remove it any other way except with a virus removal program that detects and removes rootkits or the software writers removal tool. If there is one and I think there is in this case.
