Performance would also depend on the specs of the machine. You can take a look at the difference in builds by doing a google search. Decide which version you need by what you want to do with your machine.

There should be no appreciable performance difference. The reasons for buying Ultimate instead of Pro have to do with the additional features. If you don't want or need the additional features then go for Pro. Look at the link below.

At first glance I'd think no difference but I guess ultimate would have a larger registry and more stuff on drive so it may end up being slower.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?
