Solved PC Laptop Problems - Blank Screen, Not responding

Hewlett-packard Pavilion dv4-2045dx note...
June 5, 2013 at 10:17:23
Specs: Windows 7, A8-5600K / 16GB RAM
The screen freezes, even when I only have one window open.
After the screen falls asleep after 5-10 minutes, I move the mouse around so the screen will wake up, and it stays a black screen. So I then have to restart the computer.
Safari won't load sometimes until I restart the computer 5+ times. OR it will say that the website has loaded but the screen is still blank.
DVD player won't work.
Volume button is delayed or just doesn't work.
Screen flickers (especially on Safari)
I have to restart the computer before it will open programs.
Some things won't close until I press "Control+Alt+Delete" and start the Task Manager to "End Task".

1st check task manager and look at the CPU usage if its high than do look at the peocess causing it

If this is not the problem than may be below

The screen freezes, even when I only have one window open. After the screen falls asleep after 5-10 minutes, I move the mouse around so the screen will wake up, and it stays a black screen. So I then have to restart the computer.

Seems your HDD having a hard time spinning up or power supply is faulty and not supplying enough power to HDD

If this is the same system throwing the DPC watchdog in a tizzy, I'd say the two threads are related. Also, the screen flickering implies you're not using hardware video acceleration.
