if you got a bad update from M$, then do a system restore before the update and see if that works better. If it was a bad update...then just add the updates back ONE at a time to see which one gave you the problem.

If you have your PC to automatically install ALL updates, I would suggest that you set it to ONLY install CRITICAL updates.

Hi,

Check the performance in safe mode/ Safe mode with networking. Check if the antivirus software has detected any virus/ malware/ spyware, if yes proceed with the Antivirus/Spyware/Malware troubleshooting.

Try running the below mentioned troubleshooters which could fix the problem:
1. http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=974...
2. http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=974...
3. http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=974...

If the issue still persists, then try creating a New User account and check if the symptom appears in the New User account or not.

Share your comments if it solved your problem.

Thanks & Regards

How long have you been using your computer ?

Did you check temperatures ? CPU, GPU with Hardware Monitor close to freezing ?

Run OCCT while monitoring temperatures.
