You have what is called a BIOS password or a Hard Drive Password. A BIOS password is one of the biggest nuances for us PC Techs because only the manufacturers have the codes to remove them and are very secretive about them. In order for Techs to remove them, we have to remove the bios and flash them using equipment that cost well over 5 thousand dollars. Try calling HP they might take pity on you and give you the code, if not they will offer you a Premium Tech Support that costs roughly 80 bucks to have for your older computer.
