Partition Magic zapped partitions in Win 7

Powerquest Norton partitionmagic v.8.0

Specs: Windows 7
i had windows 7 on my laptop with 3 drives C, D and E
i run partition magic and faced with error 110 then i clicked yes and oops... i lost my drive D and C
how can i get them back with data saved

Unless you made the repair disks you are out of luck. You can try recovery media and apps but it is hard to unpartition.

Boot to the magicparted cd and see if it can access the partitions and use a usb or network to recover data.

Windows 7 can do all that pm can so next time use W7.

Norton is still in the stone age. for the future, use W7 disk management tools (or free hard drive manufacturer's utilities when needed, but W7 would still be safer working around disks full of information).

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
If all else fails, read instructions.

You could try using testdisk to rebuild the partitions.

What exact version of partition magic did you use?

What type, size and file format for the drive?

Get testdisk at the link below. Be sure to thoroughly read the tutorials before using.

I said that backwards. Partedmagic is the live cd I meant. It has testdisk and photorec on it.
