I have changed my hard drive and my power supply at the request of my PC man, but I still get occasional problems with start up, and I have to boot from CD. Could this be a motherboard problem?
why doesn't your "PC man" troubleshoot your problem? Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
most likely a memory issue, try memtest do it on each stick individually, or run your machine with only 1 stick at a time, see if that fixes the problem..
occasional issues are difficult to track down, but i always check memory before blaming a mobo,
then check the seating of my cpu and cooling, i agree with the first post though, what does your PC-MAN actually do, suggest more expenditure bit by bit?i hate computers!
but cant help myself....
Thanks for all help received, it seems to have settled down on its own!
