ESPECIALLY since you appear to be running a single core P4 PCU with Windows 7, but I would recommend dumping Norton anyway.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Agree with above. Norton 360 is a kludge. Even C-Net users think it's a resource-hog:

I recommend Avast also (free version works great) or Webroot if you don't mind paying for it. I use Webroot Antivirus with Spysweeper (license for 5 discount) at home and have installed Avast on 5 computers at work with good results.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
