Did you check to see what is running at boot time? I use CCLEANER. I would begin there. Another thing I would do is literally uninstall my WiFi hardware from the device list regardless of the Windows warnings. Next I would reboot and Windows will detect 'new hardware' and install drivers automatically...this will 'refresh' your WiFi...try that...let me or other members know how it goes (myspace/davedeveloper).

I personally do regular 'system image' backups as opposed to 'system restore'. In the event my system f---s up...viola!, in about an hour I can restore my s--- from a f--- up. Sometimes...many times 'system restore' does not work. For 'system image' you need to also create a 'boot' DVD. 'System Images' I would imagine have to be backed up to external drives (200-300-500GB). I can even do multiple images by renaming the original backup folder. Since March when I got my new computer I've had to use the system image once...worked beautiful.
