no video signal on my desktop monitor

Specs: Windows 7
when unplugged, it said that "cable not connected" when plugged again it said "no signal"..kindly help me on my problem...is it a videi card problem or the board???

Or it't possibly a monitor cable problem.
Also check the pins from the the monitor plug.
Does the graphics card have more than one plug to connect a monitor.
If so, try the other plug and see what happens.

It's doubtful the problem is with the cable. "No signal" means the video card isn't sending anything to the monitor. Could be a problem with the video card, the CPU, the motherboard, the power supply, etc. It's impossible to tell based on what little info you provided. What happens when you boot the system - any beeps?
