Post the make/model of your tower plus how much you'd be willing to spend & one of us will recommend a graphics card to buy. BTW, how much money did you waste on the converter?

It's probably the converter that doesn't work. You need a computer with HDMI output and a TV with HDMI input so there's no need to use any adapters or converters.

Is this a desktop or laptop you're asking about? If it's a desktop, why did you buy a converter instead of a cheap graphics card with HDMI? If you computer doesn't have USB3.0 ports, you're not going to be able to get HD resolution 1920x1080. USB2.0 will only do 800x600 & will look like crap on an HDTV. Try adjusting the screen resolution setting for the TV to 800x600 & then see if it works.

Thank you Riider for your reply. It is a desktop. I am not all that computer literate and that seemed the easiest solution at the time. It will be easier when I upgrade and the computer has a HDMI output. I don't know how to insert a graphics card with HDMI.

What are the specification of the graphics on the desktop?
Is this a build-in graphics (part of the motherboard) or an extension board?
The build-in solution may not be Multi-screen capable.

Hi sluc
I do have multi screen capabilities which I changed to on my computer but it doesn't connect to the TV, I connected the cable directly from the TV HDMI outlet to the computer tower USB outlet. With the converter I was given a CD to download which according to my computer was successfully installed. The converter was cheap so obviously not up to the task. Thank you for your reply.

As already mentioned, the Fresco logic USB/HDMI (according the webpage) is using USB 3.0 and even better on USB3.1 (??)

How many Video connectors (not USB/HDMI converter) do you have on your desktop?

I think the problem is being caused by Microsoft Teredo Tunneling adaptor as when I am sent into Device Manager it shows a yellow mark against it. At first I didn't understand why the computer went directly to Device Manager until I saw the yellow mark next to the Teredo Tunneling adaptor. I can disable the driver or uninstall it according to the information on the properties box but I do not know whether that will solve my problem.
Thank you for your reply sluc.

The "Microsoft Teredo Tunneling adaptor" has nothing to do with your problem . It is an internet protocol converter (IP4 to IP6).
However it points to missing files on your PC.

You are correct riider - the problem lies with my graphics card. My tower is a Gigabyte Pentium (R) Dual-Core CPU 64 bit 4.00 gigabytes. That is all the information I have.
Thank you for your reply.
