No saving permissions???

Toshiba / Satellite c655

Specs: Windows 7, 2.194 GHz / 1915 MB
My computer runs off of Windows 7 Pro. After I did disc de-fragmenting on my computer (using Advanced SystemCare Pro 4.0.1), I am unable to save an edited document because I "don't have the saving permissions" to do so. In order to save any changes to a document I have to save it with a new name otherwise I get this message. Is there any way that I can fix this? I was able to save over documents perfectly fine before. I am next to clueless when it comes to computer terms, so please try and advise me in terms that I can understand or give step-by-step directions...If you need more details just ask.

I don't know why you felt a need to use third party tools to defrag. I suspect you also ran the registry module in that program.

I suggest you perform a system restore back to a point prior to running that program.

Windows 7 defrag works just fine, why would you contaminate your system with something else. Avoid 'Magic' utilities that are supposed to make things better or faster, just keep up on your regular maintenance, keep it clean of junk with windows included tools and you do not need anything else.
Follow advice above on response #1 above.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

I usually don't use Advanced SystemCare for anything besides for protection against malware, scareware, trojans and such. That day however, I must have bumped the defrag checkmark so it defragmented the information. Thank you for the advice. I will be extra careful about that from now on.
