Specs: Windows 7, 6gb
After I updated my windows last night, my screen resolution reset and has removed the option of 1600x900, and replaced it with 1600x1200, which my monitor cannot handle. (74.1/60khz)

See More: No option for 1600 x 900 resolution.

Windows may have updated your monitor software, but it may not be the correct one. Try resellecting your monitor, or download the newest software from the monitor mfg.'s website.
and/or your video card's driver as well.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
If all else fails, read instructions.

I'm not that great with pcs, usually it would say LG (Some numbers) monitor, but all it says is Generic Non - PnP monitor. And I can't remember the actualy model number because I dumped the box and manuals quite a long time ago.

click control panel/device manager/display adapters/properties/driver/update search automatically, you may also go to the website of the manufacturer and download a driver.
if it fails to resolve the issue download the driver for your monitor from the monitor website and install.although you may have gotten a cd with the monitor..if so use that

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....
