Solved no boot disk to reboot computer

Specs: Windows 7
my son did a systemreset without first getting a backup boot disk for a hp pavilion dv6, what are my options?

Sounds like the primary partition was simply formatted.

Read the manual for the computer to learn how to perform a factory restore. If the restore partition is still intact you should be able to do that.

The only way you need to reboot is Start Shutdown and then Restart.

Just because the OP does not come back in 3 or 4 days to reply, does not mean he will not come back and reply.

I assume by 'System Reset' you are referring to a Factory Restore where the system is returned to the factory shipped state. This wipes out the hard drive and reloads the operating system from the recovery partition that is on the hard drive. This is initiated by tapping a key or combination of keys during boot up to access the recovery console and then selecting Factory Restore. Look at your manual online for instructions for this and try it again.
I hope that he backed up all of his files or they are now gone. After completed, try a recovery software if needed.
