Netbook keystrokes return double characters

Samsung Blue n150 netbook
April 4, 2011 at 05:01:48
Specs: Windows 7 Starter
After switching my Samsung N150 on I could not log on at Win 7 start page. By using either a usb keyboard or the onscreen keyboard option I could enter the password but not via the netbook keyboard. For instance pressing q = qw, 9 = o9 and so on. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling keyboard driver. Tried system restore point. Numlock is not on. Machine is two months old. No malware (malwarebytes scan) and no virus (AVG full scan).

Back up your files and return it for repair or replacement under warranty. With a machine as new as that, you don't want to try much more than you have already tried. If it is a simple problem, the store will fix it and hand it back to you, but if it is more major, insist on getting a new one and have them transfer over your files and do a factory restore to wipe off your stuff from the old one.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Thanks for the reply. Samsung suggested a full system recovery after having fully backed up. It is in the process of doing that now although I could not use the onboard keypad to enter the basic set up data such as the User name so I dont hold out much hope. They too said if that fails bring it back.
