I have a .Net Framework 4.0 0x80070643 error, but everything I try fails. I have tried Microsoft FixIt, Registry fixing programs, and such. I believe the error might be caused by me not having an "Installer" folder inside my Windows folder. The error involves corrupt files, or files that can't be found. Is there any way I can restore my Installer folder? I don't have a system restore disc, nor do I have a system restore point that can help me.
I got this message, "You must use "Turn Windows features on or off" in the Control Panel to install or configure Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5."
When you get error messages / clues ( there are millions upon millions of them ) you google the EXACT ( or part of it ) message. w7 Turn Windows features on or off
I have tried Googling the exact results before, but nothing seemed to help. But I will look into those links you provided and post what happens.
I ran the "sfc/scannow" command in the command prompt, but it failed. "Window Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir/Logs/CBS/CBS.log." The log has many " CBS Failed to find localized custom property bag [HRESULT = 0x80070490 - ERROR_NOT_FOUND]" lines.
