If you are saying that your speed has suddenly slowed, you are probably infected.

No there isn't. Some will claim they can, but what comes through your telephone line or cable is what it is. What Johnw is saying, is that you need to make sure your machine doesn't have any virus or spyware on it that could rob some speed.

Netzero used to use a compression scheme but you had to use it on both ends of the connection. You can't just speed up one side for normal traffic.

It may be that you have all sorts of malware and spyware running. Use dsl speed test to see what the speed is.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.

There are no magic potion programs to speed up any aspect of computers. Ones that claim this are usually scams.
