Specs: Windows 7 Enterprise
Purchased an M-One Mic to use with SoundForge for recording voice prompts. The old mic was not USB but plugged into the PC mic slot, but didn't not pick up good sound so used a WalkMan to boost the signal. Worked perfectly. This new Mic is USB and acts like the old mic, meaning the signal is too low. When I use SoundForge to increase the volume it also increases background noise/hiss. Asked for advice from the manufacturer who gave me instructions on going into my sound set up, which didn't equate to what I actually had in my Control Panel options. Didn't work at all, and have tried everything. Anyone know what to do?

this is probably more to do with your soundcard than the program.

what card are you using?

Windows 7 x64
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8500 @ 4.1GHz
ATI Radeon HD4870

8GB OCZ Platinum 1066
2x Samsung 1TB Spinpoint F1
