Emachine / El 1333g
January 2, 2016 at 05:38:22
Specs: Windows 7 x 64, Althon Le 1640/2 GB
which upgraded video card can replace the e machine el1333G integrated card to work with windows 10. Integrated video card is NVidia GeForce 6150se n force 430. What video card is good enough for a replacement.

I can upgrade the ram to 4GB if I can find a video card. Giving this to a neighbor, so cost effective if possible.

The GeForce 6150SE/nForce430 chipset combo is NOT supported by Windows 10. Even if you upgrade to a discrete graphics card, the nForce430 will still be a problem. It's considered a legacy product & the last official NVidia drivers developed for it were for Vista/Win7. In other words, do NOT upgrade to Windows 10; stick with Windows 7.

As for the graphics card, you didn't state the type you want but my guess is just a general purpose card? Here's an inexpensive Radeon HD 5450 that should work:

And I suggest you install GWX Control Panel to block the Windows 10 upgrade. If you've already upgraded, roll back to Windows 7 & then install GWX Control Panel to prevent it from happening again:

ty much for the responses. I will stay windows 7, and just upgrade the ram. For an older veteran next door. So, trying to keep him in pc's.
