Native W7 tool for checking NIC FCS errors

November 4, 2011 at 17:19:44
Specs: Windows 7, 6GB
Is there an application or script or any native way on Windows 7 to check to see if there are File Check Sequence errors on the NIC?

The purpose is too to provide more granularity in the troubleshooting process.

Thanks in advance.

I have a custom computer.

tcp uses either the nic or the cpu to checksum packets. You could use wireshare unless your nic offloads checksums or is an enterprise level nic. Then checksum is always bad but disregarded.
