Solved my vaio model vgn fs640/w not booting up os not found

Specs: Windows 7
hi i did a stupid thing the other day i bought a sony vaio online cheap windows 7 was on it running but got it home and thought maybe i can delete and reboot windows to match my computer another working vaio vgn fw510d with recovery disks . i put my recovery disks into the other vaio and it gave me the option complete or c:drive cant remember which i chose but thats when all hell broke lose i could not reboot windows 7 no os found not sure what to do anything offered online as downloads or any other ideas

Unless both laptops have exactly the same hardware, using recovery discs on a different machine is never going to work, and that's not to mention the illegality of running two copies with only one licence.

The laptop you just bought may have a recovery partition on it. This can be used to restore the system as long as the hard drive is healthy, so you should try that.
