Specs: Windows 7
Hi, am sorry if this is not the right place to post this but am new here. My problem is that my laptop can not recorgnise its own battery. The previous window 7 I used was not geniu so I installed a geniu one. but for a month now I havent used my battery because I thought it will help conserve the life since my laptop is always pluged in. But after I installed my new window 7 and inserted my battery, there is this causion message. my laptop can only function properly only if it is pluged in with out the battery installed. Please I need to know what to do because my laptop is new. And I can not afford to buy a new sony vaio computer. .

I do not understand how you can have a brand new computer that had a non-genuine version of Windows 7 on it.... That said, if the computer was purchased from a reputable dealer then take it back for a new one (back up your files off the machine). If that is not possible then contact Sony for factory warranty repair or replacement. You could just get the battery replaced, but I would get the entire laptop replaced or at least checked out by a factory authorized technician.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
