My software installation changes name in Control Panel

July 30, 2013 at 01:16:02
Specs: Windows 7
Application namely SEAGATE CRYSTAL REPORTS appear as CRYSTAL REPORTS when I log on to the machine whereas others are able to see the real name SEAGATE CRYSTAL REPORTS when they log on to same machine. What is wrong?

Are you seeing this in the Start Menu Programs, or just on the shortcut on the desktop? As long as the program runs, it shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the effort. However, Crystal report is meant to be a requisite middleware for my medical application, and as such I am unable to run the medical application as long as the Crystal Report keeps changing its identity in Control Panel. I have decided to order a profile re-creation by administrator.

Guess what?
The problem is solved. The profile was recreated, then when I log on to same machine the Crystal Reports now appear correctly in control panel as Seagate Crystal Reports AND MY MEDICAL APPLICATION NOW RUN VERY WELL.

SO, INDEED THE PROBLEM WAS WITH MY PROFILE ABINITIO.
