you want to format you pc?

to format and install a fresh copy of windows, you need to set the bios to boot from CD first. to do this, you will need to enter the bios, then change the boot order to CD/DVD first, then your hard drive(s) second...

OR

when the pc boots, hit F12 when you hear a BEEP, and from the menu choose, boot from CD/DVD

what settings are u choosing in the setup, u should choose custom settings then choose ur primary HDD as an installation place usually local disk C:\
it should tell u that this will create a windows.old folder where previous windows files will be stored there hit ok and continue with setup.
if it did not work then u might have bad installation disk... what abt other disks can ur pc read them ?

First of all Windows 7 comes on a DVD, not a CD. If you are using a USB keyboard that may be the reason you are not booting to the DVD. Other causes might be a bad DVD or a problem with the optical drive itself.

Why are you trying to re-install Windows 7?

What type of DVD do you have? A restore disk or a full version?
