unless you are using outlook for a business, I would suggest you open a yahoo account, you can import all your contacts.

Outlook is PC specific and if your PC crashes, good-bye to all your information. Most ISP's want you to use a prog like Outlook so that you have a record with them for when you have problems with your mail. You Don't have to have that account as your main e-mail address.

That's why I suggest one like yahoo, which is web-based and you can access it all over the world. That way if you change ISP's, your e-mail will always stay the same.
Something to think about.

It might be that your settings for your POP and SMTP are incorrect. You can get those from your e-mail service provider.

And Yahoo is a horrible outfit. Arrogant, stupid beyond belief and the customer service, if you can call it that, is horrific.

For the past two years, I've received three copies of every e-mail and so have others and there is nothing that Yahoo will do about it.

I've tried every suggestion I can find and absolutely nothing works. Yahoo says they are working on it. They have been, since 2006 from what I can find on the web.

seawatch1,
Did you know that you can actually get onto a live tech support chat regarding that and that your problem will get resolved much quicker?
Yahoo has a few quirks, but is a lot better than gmail, hotmail, live mail, etc...I even have my homepage set to
www.mail.yahoo.com and it cuts out their trashy homepage and goes directly to the mail...works for me ;-)

Yes, I knew that and tried it. Their response was "it's problem with the server. Be patient."

One post I read in my searches said that their Android phone got over 4,000 copies of one e-mail.

I'm afraid I'm sunk.
