My Laptop Won't Download ANYTHING.

November 8, 2011 at 12:31:36
Specs: Windows 7
Okay so basically, my laptop wasn't playing youtube video's and none of my websites I like to go on were working so I decided to restore my laptop to factory settings to see if that would help (a lot of people suggested this would resolve my problem).
After it restored to factory settings I went straight onto Internet Explorer (64 bit - version 8) to download programs I use, first I went to download Google Chrome and I had a message popping up saying that 'The downloaded file failed verification'. I thought that maybe it was just Google Chrome playing up, so I went to download Mozilla Firefox and I had the same problem but the message said something about Active-X signature and that the file was corrupt. I thought this was very strange so I left that for a while and went to download iTunes and Many-Cam which are programs I have downloaded and used before. Neither of them downloaded either!
I need desperate help and I need to get this problem solved FAST.
Please reply A.S.A.P

Btw I'm a 14 year old girl so I dont really know much about computers and stuff like that so I need to be spoonfed haha, please help guys, thanks!
Oh and my parents don't know about this problem cuz I have a feeling I'm gonna be getting the blame for ALL of this, they'll end up saying I did something which I never! Please help!!!! :(

Information on my laptop:
HP Pavillion G Series (G6)
Running on Windows 7
Purchased in July 2011 (its not very old!)

Maybe the restore went badly. Might be worth trying once more.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
