What software are you talking about?

Your title says that Windows 7 wont boot and then you go on to mention messing up Windows 8. Please clarify what you problem is and what you are trying to do.

I think I understand what you mean now.

If you download Windows 7 onto your PC with Windows 8 it will not mess it up. The download will probably come as a single .ISO file that will need to be burnt to a DVD. When you have it on DVD you can then install it on your laptop..

You can do all this on your PC. It would only be a problem if you attempted to install it on Windows 8.

If StuartS's interpretation is correct then hats off to him.

Only you really know what is in your mind. To get a concise answer you need to confirm exactly what computers you have and their operating systems. Next give the name of the program you want to download, and onto which PC.

At the present I am unsure whether you want two operating systems dual booting on one computer or want to replace one operating system with another.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
