my keyboard won't let me hit backspace

October 7, 2011 at 07:48:34
Specs: Windows 7
my keyboard won't let me hit backspace or double letters quickly, even after going into control panel and changing the setting to as little delay as possible, this computer isn't even 6 months old, and the keyboard came with it, so neither of those should be the issue, and before today this problem wasn't even happening. So it's really strange that this problem would just suddenly arise, I could really use some help, because it really slows my typing down, and is a general inconvenience.

Keystrokes and mouse movements can be affected by overloads on the system.

To etermine if that is your problem try booting into Windows Safe Mode by tapping F8 at start up. If the condition is no longer apparent your are probably infected with something. Run a scan using malwarebytes. If there is no difference, post back.

You need to provide more information about your computer. brand, model, RAM, OS, etc.

hmmmm....you say the PC is just a few months old...did you ever think of contacting the PC tech support as it is still under warranty?

I got it fixed. Didn't get a chance to read what anyone said before fixing it, but I appreciate the help. All it needed was a restart, not sure how it fixed it, but it did. Got a free keyboard out of all this because my mother thought I needed one to fix it. (All the new keyboard fixed is I no longer have to deal with my old keyboard which had juice spilled on it and had sticky keys. :P)

Again, thanks for the helpful advice, I'll know where to turn if I ever have troubles again with something.

I would suggest you buy a keyboard cover for your spillage.
