My IOMEGA is making a whining and ticking sound. We purchased a DELL desktop computer in June 2012 and this IOMEGA came with it.

If it's a hard drive the ticking usually means it's failing. Has it been working OK up til now?

Iomega market various products (including zip drives and external hard drives) so best confirm what it is.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

If it is an external hard drive, IMMEDIATELY back up any data on it since it is likely to fail at any time. If it is another of their products, post the info for us to review.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
