my hp audio keeps going to max volume

Hewlett-packard / Mini 311
September 14, 2011 at 15:36:14
Specs: Windows 7, 3GB
Its a HP mini 311. Running WIN 7 HP 32bit. Its like the "fn"+"fll" (volume up) are constantly on.
This is a brand new netbook.
As soon as I slide the volume down manually, it races back to max. I can mute (but thats not really a fix!)
Interestingly, up untill windows provided its updates this wasn't an issue. But buggered if i can go through 300 updates to find out which one caused the issue!
I have reinstalled HP's own software and re-installed the audio drivers as a precaution, but this hasn't solved the problem.
Any help would be great, thanks.

If it's that new, you should have a warranty. Take it to where you bought it.
