My Dell 1555 studio won't boot the status bar goes half way

Specs: Windows 7
It says set up f2 or boot f12 it won't go to boot but if I hit escape the f2 it says entering setup then does nothing

I guess, your computer is a deskop pc, not a laptop.
In that case, the CMOS-Battery is empty and has to be replaced.

In the CMOS, some necessary settings are stored, to start the computer.
If the CMOS-Battery gets empty, all these settings gets lost and you need to press F2 to get into the BIOS settings.
After that, you can press F10, to save the settings and your computer should start in the normal way.

But, when switching off and back on your computer, you'll get the same message and you have to press F2 and F10.

So changing the CMOS-Battery will solve your problem.

Seems this is a laptop. As far as I'm aware the CMOS battery is a coin sizes CR2032 (cheap and easy to obtain) but check with your manual. Ensure you insert the battery the right way round.
