I take it you have a copier connected to your computer which was working OK but you changed some settings and now it's printing sideways/landscape mode?

You need to familiarize yourself with the copier software. Maybe doing a word search through the manual for landscape will help. If all else fails you can uninstall and then reinstall the software.

mmm what are we discussing here? Are you referring to a copier (as in a scanner/all-in-one printer etc? Or we are talking about the copy (an item on a document, web-site page etc.?

Perhaps give us a little more information, and a clearer description of what you were doing etc.?

I know you would be helpful to a normal person---don't know about downloading, cookies. etc. at 76 I'm good at sending a letter and looking up things--got just a copier to copy from pc--but when I have a item with 2 pages I only get one, and that one is short on one side. --so I started to fool --did get it to print forever. had a hp that was so complicated for me--gave away, but guess you get what you pay for---it is what it is--anyway thanks to all

tired after 2 hrs.--maybe need to get someone to come and fix both---thanks to all of you for replying----no quick fix I guess.
everything was so perfect for me when they had the old "classic" mail,
all things are programmed for the younger generations--but that's where the money is!!!!!
thanks all of you

only $29--just to copy----hp--how can the 2nd part be of the letter be copied, it only copies 1st. page?
changed the 1 copy to---2 didn't change
changed the 1 pages to--2 didn't change
have to copy when works on things that have 1 page.
Do you think I should purchase a more expensive one--I really wanted the SMALLEST one, went to Wal-Mart alone and saw gosh didn't know what to buy--really would like to have had a scanner also--wow it's tough when you know nothing--the one I had my son got me, I never wanted it, should have kept it huh, can't afford the un-believable prices I saw--dell-BIG, heavy, fax etc. I think I made a mistake on this---. t.v. and computer are what I need for entertainment. opinion? thanks I can tell you all know so much---and all I want seems so simple but, maybe it's not.

Landscape is what it's doing--printing sideways. You'd usually use it when you want a wider width. For example if you take a photograph and print it out as an 8 x 10 it's 8 inches across the top and 10 inches down the length of the paper. But if you turned the camera sideways the eventual printed picture would be 10 x 8--10 across the top and 8 down. Too large to fit upright on the same size photo sheet unless you resized it OR you printed it sideways in landscape mode.

Like I said, you need to familiarize yourself with the software you're using. Do some experimenting until you get it figured out. Everything has a learning curve.

Uninstall and reinstall the software if you feel it's too messed up to fix.

thank you daveincap---it prints out now after 15 sheets of paper, but just like before. Letters are sent to me--to copy out I need 2-3 pages to copy---but only will copy the first---. getting frustrated.
have to think and pray for a answer, I may be able to get the old one back--did all-----guess it's like they say "don't know what you had until it's gone.

I will hope to remember where I am to let you know my solution. I thank you, I just need a button to do all{smile} thanks for your time!

Click this, it might help:
http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/P/por...

My guess is you need assistance with setting the copier - maybe a friend can help. Also read the manual that came with it.

Otherwise let us have the make and model number requested - without this we have no idea what piece of kit you are using.

[Cookies have nothing to do with it, nor your personal age]

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Mmmm, snickerdoodle cookies.

Some of the problems may be due to the printer settings and not the copier software. This may help:

Again - please post the make and model of your printer and then "we' (the pholks here) can offer more specific help; and get things back to as you'd like them...; if not even better...?

Do you know what type of file the letters that you are receiving are? For instance, are they Word documents?

Do you have Microsoft Word installed on your computer?

I think what is happening is that the poster is not reading the whole message that comes up when clicking on 'print'

1- when you click on print. It will open and ask you the orientation and how many pages to be printed etc
2- all you have to do is select if you want it as portrait or as landscape (although most printers do that automatically
3- it should display something like
* print all pages
pages- all or 1-3, etc (that is where you tell it how many pages but the default is usually 'ALL'

Agree with XpUser... It does read that way overall... But knowing which printer it is would enable us to guide him more easily, and fully...?

dear dear all of you---I'm through---called my son, getting my old printer back--will have someone come over and fix if I get in this again. This is un-real my printer NEVER stops--I have papers printed Photo sharing, flicker, sports games, want a Daily Hope which is a Christian daily message usually 2 pages--I have several of others I did not click one over the other, facebook flicker don't even belong, couldn't get it to stop printing, so had to take out paper--
all together I have lost at least 20 papers.
Thank you for the trouble you have gone through with me----I'm sure if any of you were here it could be fixed but, no more--
I tried to do some of the things you suggested, but it just kept printing whatever.
again THANK YOU and Amen!!!
