my computer wont accept my password to login

Specs: Windows 7
hi there,
i am in need of help in logging in to my computer. it has windows 7 and it wont accept my correct password each time i try to log in. it says that it has been locked. what do i do?

the only way to recover from a failed login, wrong password; is too save all your files using a linux boot disk, and then do a factory restore, you can learn how from the manual or the manufacturers website, its usually by tapping an F key at boot.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

thanks for the reply. i must have done what you said, as i managed to get into safe mode and then it rebooted everything and now all is well. i also found out how to disable the password in case it happens again in the future. any ideas why that would happen?

if you got into safe mode, rebooted and all is good, it was just a glitch..
you should create a password reset disk, now that your back into the machine..just in case
type password into the run box an click on create password reset disk.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....
