Thinking it was the power strip it was being defective and not getting enough power i pluged it directly into the wall...

Make a bootable CD with Memtest86 (make on another computer) to test you memory for errors. Reset BIOS to boot from CD/DVD drive as first in the boot order, put in the disk and restart (you may need to "hit any key to boot from CD" if/when prompted).
Repeat with Hard Drive Test Utility from your hard drive mfg (or use Seatools from Seagate) to test your hard drive for errors.
Use Windows 7 install, Repair Disk, or Recovery Disk to do a start up repair.
Use Repair Disk to do a System Restore.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Boot directly into the BIOS screens by tapping del immediately at start up. Then go to the screen that shows the temperatures and voltages. Set in the BIOS for a while to see if the temperatures increase. Post the two temperatures and the 3.3V, 5V and 12V readings.

Your computer may be overheating or the power supply may be failing. The above information may tell us that.

If you can't even stay powered long enough to do the above, open the case and check for dirt/dust and if the fans are turning.

If there is lots of dust/dirt, blow out with a compressor or canned air. DO NOT use a vacuum cleaner.

Since this looks like a hardware problem, it would be better to post in the hardware forum.
