my computer hang's & displays a blue screen

Specs: Windows 7, pentium(R) dual core-2 GB
my laptop keeps on hang'ing' then displays a blue screen with a fast countdown upto 100. the blue screen has something like 'dumping physical memory' and blah blah....... please help

If it does this rarely but boots up OK after that, that is OK and just a buildup of small errors. If like I think you are saying this is a regular thing, you have a problem. First I would suspect a problem with a memory card (RAM). To test, if you have more than one memory stick, try first one then the other alone and try starting your system. If it is slow but otherwise good, replace the memory stick. As a more positive identification, you can test your memory with Memtest (download Memtest as an ISO image on another machine and burn to a CDr disk) and boot your laptop to this disk (you may need to reset boot order) and run through all tests. If you get an error with two sticks present then rerun with one at a time to see if one or both are bad.
If your memory tests good, you may need to repair Windows. Post back results.
