Often you forget and leave the cap lock on (or left it on when creating the password), or capitalized one letter and forgot to or forgot which one, or substituted a different letter, number. or symbol for a letter in a word or name. Think on it and try a few more possibilities.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Thank you for that suggestion. However, I have tried all what you said but the computer can't boot. I have used the computer several times with the same password. The computer kept posting this message that wrong password.Thank you once more.

Any chance you made a password recovery disk?
This is a feature of Windows 7 and would come in handy right now....
WAIT... This is the Windows 7 forum but you are listed above as Windows XP???? Which do you have?

If you have been keeping a back up of your personal files you may just need to do an operating system reinstall or a factory restore and copy back your files. No one here will tell you how to break your password.
